DPOF
DPOF (Digital Print Order Format) is a system that allows
digital cameras to define which captured images are to
be printed on compatible print devices. At its simplest
level the system saves a set of text files in a special
directory on a digital camera’s storage card. These files
define the images that are to be printed, how many
copies of each image, and if any information is to be
overlaid on the image. This is usually implemented
through a menu option on the digital camera.
There are two DPOF options.
STANDARD: Standard output to the printing device.
INDEX: All of the images are printed in a thumbnail style
list to allow the user to select the photos he or she likes.
