Using the Baby Unit

BT Digital Baby Monitor – Edition 3 – 26.02.04 – 5918

Paging

You can use the

button on the Baby Unit to find

the Parent Unit or alert another member of the family via
the intercom.

1. Press

. The Parent Unit will automatically reset

to mid volume and the paging alert will sound.

2. To stop the Page alert, press any button on the Parent

Unit, or press

again on the Baby Unit.

Night light

The night light provides a soft and comforting glow for
your baby and allows you to check on baby without
having to turn on the main room light.

At the Baby Unit:

1. Press the

button on the top of the Baby Unit.

Press again to switch off.

Sound lights

The sound lights are the green and red lights located at
the top of the Parent Unit which illuminate according to
the level of sound in the baby’s room.

This means you can turn the volume off at the Parent
Unit and still monitor your baby using the sound lights.

If the Parent Unit senses increased noise levels in your
baby’s room, the 2nd red light will illuminate and you will
hear an alert tone. To stop the alert tone, press any
button on the Parent Unit.

Sensitivity

You can change the level of sensitivity to suit your baby.
For example, if your baby is a particularly quiet sleeper,
you can increase the sensitivity levels so that you are
sure to hear if baby disturbs or becomes uncomfortable.

1. Press

.

2. Scroll

or

to select the sensitivity level you require –

level 1 for low sensitivity, or level 5 for high sensitivity.

Please note

If you set the sensitivity level too
low, only louder sounds in the
baby’s room will be picked up and
communicated back to you via the
Parent Unit. The Unit will not pick
up quieter background noises.

Level 1 – 1 green light
Level 2 – 2 green lights
Level 3 – 3 green lights
Level 4 – 4 green lights
Level 5 – 5 green lights

Please note

If you press

once you will

stop the Paging alert, if you press

twice you will open the voice

link for you to talk to your baby
and your baby will also hear any
background noise you make.

The sound alert cannot be set to
off. You can set the volume to the
lowest level (level 1) if you do not
want the sound alert to go off.
