User Guide

Decor 210

To dial a number in 
the Quickdial memory

Lift the handset and wait for
the dial tone.

Press the 

QUICKDIAL

button.

Enter the memory location
number between 

0

and 

9

,

under which the number is
stored. The number is
displayed and dialled
automatically.

To delete stored 
numbers

Lift the handset.

Press the 

STORE

button.

Enter the memory location
number (

0-9

) or (

M1,M2,M3

)

under which you have stored
the number you wish to delete.

Press the 

STORE

button. You

will hear a confirmation tone.

Replace the handset.

Alternatively, any existing
number stored in the 
One -Touch or Quickdial
memories can be overwritten
by entering a new number
under the same memory
location. Simply follow the
instructions under the storing
numbers sections previously
shown.

Note

If any error occurs in the
storing mode you will hear
three short beeps, then the
product will return to talk
mode.

If you unplug your Decor 210
the numbers stored in the
memory will be saved.
However, the last number
redial memory will be lost.

Note

There is a Quickdial memory
label included on the reverse
side of your handset and a
One-Touch memory label on
the base unit. You can use
these labels to keep a record of
which memory location
number you have used for each
telephone number.

Note

You can mix manual and
memory dialling as required,
for example, you can dial the
area code 

020 8304

from the

memory and then complete the
number manually.

Guarantee

Your Decor 210 is guaranteed
for a period of 12 months from
the date of purchase.

Subject to the terms listed
below the guarantee will
provide for the repair of, or at
BT’s or its agent’s discretion
the option to replace the
Decor 210, or any component
thereof, which is identified as
faulty or below standard, or
fails as a result of inferior
workmanship or materials.
Products over 28 days old from
the date of purchase may be
replaced with a refurbished
product.

The conditions of this
guarantee are:

• The guarantee shall only

apply to defects that occur
within the 12 month
guarantee period.

• Proof of purchase is

provided.

• The equipment is returned

to the point of purchase.

• This guarantee does not

cover any faults or defects
caused by accidents, misuse,
fair wear and tear, neglect,
tampering with the
equipment, or any attempt
at adjustment or repair other
than by approved agents.

• This guarantee does not

affect your statutory rights.

Within the 12 month
guarantee period:

In the unlikely event of a
defect occurring, please return
the product, with the receipt,
to the place of purchase.

Outside of the 12 month
guarantee period:

If your product needs repair
after the guarantee period has
ended, the repair must meet
the approval requirements for
connection to the telephone
network. We recommend that
you contact BT’s approved
repair agent, TecLogic on

or a local

qualified repairer.

If you have to return
your Decor 210

Pack the unit securely,
preferably in the original
packaging. All parts must be
returned. We cannot take
responsibility for goods
damaged in transit.

Technical information

How many telephones can
you have?

All items of telephone
equipment have a Ringer
Equivalence Number (REN),
which is used to calculate the
number of items which may
be connected to any one
telephone line. Your Decor
210 has a REN of 1. 
A total REN of 4 is allowed, if
the total REN of 4 is
exceeded, the telephones may
not ring. With different
telephone types there is no
guarantee of ringing, even
when the REN is less than 4.

Switchboard
compatibility

This product is intended for
use within the UK for
connection to the public
telephone network and
compatible switchboards,
which support tone dialling
and time break recall. If in
doubt please consult your
service provider.

Wall
mounting

1.

Locate lugs and mount into
holes under base unit as
shown. 

2.

Swing mount down to clip
into top hole.

3.

Drill 2 holes, 25mm deep
using a 3mm drill, for the
screws using the template.
Ensure that you do not drill
into any hidden wiring or
pipes. Insert the wall plugs
provided and then insert a
screw into each hole. Leave
2-3mm between the head of
the screw and the wall.

Position the product onto
the screws.

Drop down to secure.
