The Bruker Spine Pin
The Bruker Spine Pin uses a MiTeGen MicroGripper™, precision-manufactured to work properly within
the SMART X2S. The Pin has a magnetic cap that protects the sample.
The crystal needs to be attached across the crystal aperture at the tip of the MicroGripper™.

NOTE:
When attaching the crystal, be sure to
attach it to the inner surface of the
MicroGripper™ (Figure 3.2). The inner
surface will be readily visible under the
microscope.

3.2.1
Reusing Bruker Spine Pins
Bruker Spine pins may be reused. The ultraviolet-curable glue dissolves in hot water.
