Disassembling

i

Prevent any contamination to the sealing surfaces of the flex lines and the connection
line. Use the supplied cups to protect the sealing surfaces.

5.

Follow the procedure described in chapter 

”Mounting the Rotary Valve Column”

on page 4-56

 in reverse order.

6.

Lift the cold head out of the turret by turning the three adjustment screws until the
top O-Ring of the turret sealing becomes visible. Prevent tilting of the cold head.

7.

Restore the cold head to its original box.

8.

Mount the service flange to the cold head turret.

9.

Restore all parts to the box of the Cryogenic Refrigerator. 

10. Fasten the compressor inside the box with the supplied straps.

Loosen the screws at the bottom RT closure
flange (1) a little without removing anything.

Loosen the upper RT closure flange a little
without removing it.

3.

Remove the upper RT reduction flange and
closure flange.

4.

Remove the RT tube from the top carefully. 
Prevent any contamination (finger prints, dirt 
e.g.) to the RT tube surface using clean glo-
ves. Prevent any damage (scratches, 
buckling) to the RT tube by carefully hand-
ling it. Restore it in its original box.
