When the axial clearance of the oil pump
shaft assembly increases, the oil pressure de

Installation
For installation, reverse the removal procedure.
Pay attention to the following details.
NOTE:
The outer rotor and inner rotor are marked.
When installing, make sure both markings are on
the upper side.

7. Markings
After reinstallation of the remaining parts, check
for smooth operation of the oil pump assembly.
Final Test
After engine is completely reassembled, start en
gine and make sure oil pressure is within specifi
cations (refer to
OIL PRESSURE TEST
above).

Cleaning and Inspection
Clean engine oil strainer with a part cleaner then
use an air gun to dry it.

age. Replace if damaged.

REED VALVE
The engine is equipped with a reed valve
no. 8
which prevents accumulation of larger oil quanti
ties in the crankcase. The reed valve is fitted into
the crankcase.
