MIDSECTION

DRIVESHAFT HOUSING AND OIL PAN

Assembly

Assembly is reverse order of disassembly with
special attention to the following steps:

Install water tube grommets and water tube in
driveshaft housing. Tighten screw securely.

Install two dowel pins in driveshaft housing.

Apply 

Gasket Sealing Compound

 to mating sur-

faces of driveshaft housing and oil pan.

Install the oil pan on the driveshaft housing and
tighten six screws 36 ft. lbs. (50 N·m).

Install water pressure valve, seal ring, and pres-
sure valve cover. Tighten cover screws securely.

Install the upper thrust mounts to upper mounts.
