1) Switch
The winch can be activated by a winch
control switch on your vehicle.
NOTE: A remote control switch is in-
cluded with winch accessory kit. A
remote control switch can also be pur-
chased separately if needed.
2) Rope
WARNING
A damaged rope may break sud-
denly and project objects at high
speed or release the retaining
force suddenly. Never use a dam-
aged rope.
Steel Rope
Steel rope can be used as general pur-
pose winching operations.
If the rope is kinked, has tight loops, or
has broken wire strands, replace rope.

NOTICE
Never use steel rope with
hawse rope guide. It was designed
to be used with roller fairlead.
Synthetic Rope
Synthetic rope can be used in wet or
muddy applications.
If the rope has a large number of bro-
ken fibers, or shiny sections or com-
pressed sections, replace rope.
NOTICE
Never use synthetic rope
with roller fairlead. It was designed
to be used with hawse rope guide.
3) Rope Guide
Roller Fairlead
A steel rope winch is matched with a
roller fairlead.
