Silence Sensor
The
8 x 2A Dual Stereo audio switcher
is equipped with a silence sensor. The silence
sensor as shipped from the factory is configured to monitor output # 1. A jumper is provided
to switch to output # 2 if needed. The time delay is fixed at approx. six (6) seconds and
should be jumpered from the SS OC on TB-7 to SS IN on TB-7 for serial operations, allowing
the time delay changes to be provided by the automation equipment manufacturer. A silence
sensor open collector is provided at terminal TB-7 “SS OC”. To change the time delay, simply
substitute the value of C-112. The Silence sensor may also be defeated by bring the SS DEF on
TB-7 to ground.
Input expansion
Input expansion may be accomplished by connecting a shielded cable between the first
units XIN1L to the second units MIX1L. The shield to be connected to the AGND terminal.
Follow the same procedure for the right channel. The above example, provides 16 inputs, with
the first units # 1 output.
Power-Up
NOTE:
Due to the power supplies long discharge time, a pause of 10 seconds before plugging
the

back in may be required during power-up
programming.
Input Mode:
To select a channel configuration at power-up, select the desired input and output
channels and in
SEQUENCE
press and hold down the F1, F2 and MUTE button for 1 second.
Your channel setup is now saved.
To select
NO
channels at power-up, turn off ALL channels and in
SEQUENCE
press
and hold down the F1, F2 and MUTE button for 1 second. Your channel setup is now saved.
This is the DEFAULT mode.
