Refer to Figure 5-11 and connect P18 to J18 on the rear of the RF amplifier assembly.

Connect a 100 watt non-inductive test load to the exciter rear-panel RF OUTPUT
receptacle.

Apply primary power to the exciter and record the forward power meter indication.

MAINTENANCE WITH POWER APPLIED IS ALWAYS CONSIDERED' HAZARDOUS AND THEREFORE
CAUTION SHOULD BE OBSERVED. DO NOT TOUCH ANY COMPONENTS WITHIN THE EXCITER
WHEN POWER IS APPLIED.

USE AN INSULATED TOOL FOR ADJUSTMENT.

Remove RF drive by disconnecting P17 from the RF amplifier.

Refer to Figure 5-11 and adjust PWR SET control R52 on the power supply/control circuit
board fully clockwise.

Depress front-panel PAI meter function switch.
l.
Refer to Figure 5-11 and adjust R17 for 300 milliamps (0.30) as indicated on the front-
panel meter.
m.
Refer to Figure 5-11 and connect P17 to the RF amplifier.
n.
Refer to Figure 5-11 and adjust PWR SET control R52 until the meter indicates the value
recorded in step H.
WARNING
DISCONNECT THE PRIMARY POWER TO THE EXCITER BEFORE PROCEEDING.

Disconnect primary power to the exciter.
p.
Remove all test equipment and replace the RF amplifier assembly mounting
bracket/shield.
