3.2.2. RU Number Settings
To enable identification by the system, each RU must be assigned a number by
configuring dipswitches 3 to 7 on the RU backplane.
details the dipswitch settings for each of the possible RU number options.
For example, to set an RU as Unit #1, set dipswitches 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 to the right.
Note:
The number of RUs that can be connected to each CU varies
according to topology and transmission type. Currently up to 16 RUs
(CAG40D-M, CAGE40-M, CAG40D-MIN or CAGE40-MIN) can be
connected to each CU.
Note:
The RUs should always be numbered between 1 to 16.
