: Adjustments

4

Push the wedges down, then toward the front of the seat to

lock into place. (Fig. E)

5

Pull the backrest upward with one hand, while securing the

base with the other hand, to verify the backrest is locked into

place.

If you have trouble attaching the backrest, adjust the width of the
base until you see the slots. There is a red guide block located
inside the slots, inside the base. These blocks can be moved from
side to side using a flat head screwdriver. Slide the guide blocks into
position until the slots line up with the connectors for a secure fit.

Adjusting the Backrest

1

Unzip the cover of the backrest.

2

Push the button labeled “Press”

(Fig. F-4) then slide the backrest

upwards to release.

3

With child seated on the base, align

the backrest at the appropriate height.

• The backrest should be aligned so that,

when attached to the base, the shoul-
der belt guides are slightly above the
child’s shoulder height.

4

Slide the backrest down until the “Press” button clicks into place.

5

Place belt clip in storage slot. (Fig. F-5)

6

Zip the cover of the backrest.

1

Place the Starriser Comfy in a seating

position equipped with an approved

three-point safety belt.

• Refer to pages 6-7 to determine the best

seating location for your child.

2

Pivot the backrest to fit the vehicle

seat so that it rests flat against the

vehicle seat back.

• If necessary, adjust the vehicle’s headrest to

allow the backrest to rest flat against the
seat back.

3

Position the lap portion of the safety

belt, so that the belt runs under both

armrests.

4

Position the shoulder portion of the

safety belt, so that the belt runs

under the armrest nearest the buckle,

then through the belt guide, located

at the top of the backrest (

Fig A

).

5

Verify that the safety belt is properly positioned, as described

above, and that there is no twisting in the safety belt (

Fig B

).

WARNING:

• DO NOT install this booster seat in the front seat of a vehicle with a

passenger air bag, unless the air bag is turned off.

• ALWAYS use the vehicle’s lap and shoulder belt system when
