Installation and Mounting
The beacon base provides secure and permanent installation. Wire routing should
be taken into consideration when choosing a mounting location.
There are 3 mounting configurations available.
1. Use two mounting holes located opposite each other at the waist.
2. Use two mounting holes located at the centre of each end.
3. Use four mounting holes located at each corner.
Select suitable mounting location ensuing it is at least 500mm away from any radio
antennas or other sensitive equipment. Sealing integrity is dependent on flush
mounting. When fitted to rough or curved surface use additional sealant around
underside of bolt holes.
Remove lens and select most suitable mounting points in alloy base (as per above).
Take supplied M8 bolts and using a hammer knock bolt through selected hole to
remove knock out. using supplied M8 bolts fix beacon into position. Do not refit
lens at this stage.
Wiring Instructions
Consideration has to be taken to make sure the wire gauge is sufficient to drive the
product. AWG18 or above is recommended.
