Ignition Coil
Removal
1. See

2. Remove two hex fl ange screws to release
ignition coil from blower housing.
Installation
1. Install two hex fl ange screws to fasten
new
ignition coil to blower housing. Alternately
tighten screws to 20-35 in-lbs (3-4 Nm).

Fuel Filter
Removal
1. See
Safety Precautions, Relieve Fuel Sys-
tem Pressure

2. Squeeze hose clip and remove fuel inlet
hose from fuel fi lter fi tting.
NOTE:
Wrap shop towel around fuel fi lter
fi ttings to catch any fuel leakage.
3. Squeeze hose clip and remove fuel outlet
hose from fuel fi lter fi tting.
Installation
1. With the arrow pointing in the direction of
fuel fl ow, install
new
fuel fi lter between fuel
inlet and outlet hoses. See Figure 5-4.
2. Turn ignition switch ON for two seconds,
and then OFF for 10 seconds. Turn the
ignition switch back to ON and check for
fuel leaks.
Mechanical Diaphragm Fuel Pump
Removal
1. Squeeze hose clip at fuel inlet port (A) and
remove hose from fuel fi lter. See Figure
5-5.
NOTE:
Wrap shop towel around fi ttings to
catch any fuel leakage.
2. Squeeze hose clip at fuel outlet port (B)
and remove hose to fuel pump module.
3. Gently pull crankcase vacuum hose from
pulse line fi tting (C).
4. Remove two hex fl ange screws to release
fuel pump from blower housing.
Installation
1. Orient
new
fuel pump with the crankcase
vacuum and fuel inlet ports pointing down.
