2. Inspect 15 Amp fuse
• Reinstall or replace.
If fuse was replaced:
• Reset fault code detection system (
“Resetting The Fault Code Detection System” on
page 20
).
• Attempt MANUAL start and observe system
operation.
3. Gain access to the CMA circuit board (
“Access To The CMA Board” on page 19
). Make
sure all wires and connectors are attached to the
back of the CMA board (See Fig. 28).

4. Check the unit grounding cable (Fig. 29).

If electrical components are OK:
Test 8
Check Starter Contactor Signal
• Open the generator circuit breaker.
• Reset fault code detection system (
“Resetting The Fault Code Detection System” on
page 20
• Gain access to the starter contactor.
• Select AUTO at the SYSTEM switch
Push and hold
MANUAL-OVERIDE
and while the
engine start cycle is in progress:
• Measure for a voltage at the coil terminals of the
starter contactor (Fig. 30).

NOTE
: Remember that the CMA only delivers
12VDC to the starter contactor for 15 seconds
and then rests for 15 seconds.
7-14VDC should be measured.
