CHILI AU BŒUF ET
HARICOTS NOIRS
Rendement: 6–8 portions
INGRÉDIENTS
1 c. à soupe d’huile d’olive
2 oignons moyens, hachés finement
1 carotte moyenne, hachée finement
1 poivron rouge, haché finement
6 gousses d’ail, émincées
1 piment jalapeño, émincé
1 piment serrano, émincé
900 g (2 lb) de bœuf haché
1½ c. à thé de sel kasher (et plus, si désiré)

tasse de poudre de chili
2 c. à soupe de poudre de cumin
1 c. à soupe de poudre de coriandre
1 c. à thé d’origan séché
1 boîte de 796 ml (28 oz) de sauce tomate
1 boîte de 398 ml (14,5 oz) de tomates en dés
1 boîte de 398 ml (14,5 oz) de haricots noirs,
égouttés et rincés
PRÉPARATION
1.
Dans un grand fait-tout, chauffer l’huile
à feu moyen-élevé jusqu’à ce qu’elle
frémisse. Ajouter les oignons, la carotte
et le poivron; saler et laisser brunir
environ 6 minutes. Ajouter l’ail et les
piments et faire sauter 1 minute.

Incorporer le bœuf haché, le sel, la
poudre de chili, de cumin et de
coriandre et l’origan. Faire sauter
environ 5 minutes ou jusqu’à coloration,
en écrasant les grumeaux. Égoutter
l’excès de gras, si désiré.

Ajouter le reste des ingrédients
et remuer.
4.
Insérer la grille à la position inférieure.
Tourner la molette de FONCTIONS
jusqu’à ce que l’indicateur pointe SLOW
COOK (CUISSON LENTE) sur l’écran
ACL. Sélectionner ‘HI’ (Haut) de 4 à 6
heures ou ‘LO’ (Bas) de 6 à 8 heures.
Pressez la touche MARCHE/ARRÊT
pour activer.
5.
Lorsque le préchauffage sera terminé,
placer le fait-tout sur la grille et cuire le
chili jusqu’à ce qu’il épaississe et que les
saveurs s’en dégagent.
