Partnership between BREIL and ABARTH continues and it has resulted in
the creation of high quality and unique products.
Let’s start from the beginning. The legend of the Scorpion was officially born
in 1949, when Karl Abarth and Guido Scagliarini founded Abarth & Co. But
the legend is a narrative of origins, when Abarth was only a child and his
passion for speed and engines was already evident. High-performance,
speed and motoring was ingrained in Karl’s DNA, which lead him to be a
successful racing driver.
Success has come from his talent and from the cars he created : the first
car produced, the 204 A Roadster, a model originated from the FIAT 1100,
immediately won the Italian 1100 Sport and Formula 2 championships.
Abarth philosophy is simple but should not be taken for granted: Abarth
cars must be manageable, performant and powerful, just like the Scorpion,
the iconic symbol that identifies the company. Over time, Abarth brand
has become in people’s mind a synonym of sportiness, elaboration and
performance, turning upside down the world of sports cars. High quality,
excellent performance and a sportive spirit are concepts shared with BREIL
brand.
