Retractable tie downs (TOR)
1.
Install the Quattro restraints onto the Solo anchors, in the same way as the
fronts.
2a. Quattro: Press the release button(s), (Fig. 14A) to release the webbing and
attach each of the karabiner, J-hook or tongue and buckle arrangements to
the wheelchair frame, (Fig. 7). (Some wheelchairs will indicate these tie-down
positions, Fig. 8). Press the yellow button(s) again to remove the webbing slack
2b. Quattro Express: Webbing can be extended from the reel without pressing
the yellow button if the lock label, (Fig. 5) is NOT visible. Attach each of the
karabiner, hook or tongue and buckle arrangements to the wheelchair rear
frame, (Fig. 7). (Some wheelchairs will indicate these tie-down positions,
Fig. 8). The yellow button must be pressed if extending webbing with the
label in view, (Fig. 14A), The webbing will retract automatically into the reel.
IMPORTANT: The yellow locking label must be fully visible to ensure that the
reel is locked off, (Fig. 5).
3. Final tensioning is achieved by turning each tensioning handle, (Fig. 14B), until
the webbing is equally taut on each side.
4. Ensure that the webbing of each tie-down is approximately the same length,
and at an angle of around 30 to 45°, (Fig. 9).
5. An occupant restraint must now be fitted.
Removing the TOR light wheelchair
tie-down
IMPORTANT: First remove the
occupant restraint, as instructed in the
relevant manual.

Release the tension in the rear
tie-downs by pressing the yellow
button, (Fig. 14A), and extending
the webbing to allow the karabiner,
J-hook or tongue and buckle
arrangements to be removed
from the wheelchair frame. If the
webbing is particularly tight, it may
be necessary to slightly ’tension’
the webbing with the hand wheel,
(Fig. 14B), while pressing the yellow
button, to remove the webbing
lock on the Quattro Solo.
2. Remove each Quattro Solo from
the anchor by rotating the tie-
down through 90° so that the
raised protrusion on the cleat is
aligned with the indent on the floor
anchors, (Fig. 7A & B). Slide off.
3. Pull the tie-down away from the
floor anchor and store safely.
