Battery precautions
1. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
2. Use only alkaline AA batteries of the same or equivalent
type.
3. Insert batteries with the correct polarity.
4. Keep batteries away from children.
5. Dispose of exhausted batteries according to local legal
requirements. Do not dispose them by throwing away
with normal household rubbish.
6. Avoid short circuiting the contacts in the battery
compartment and battery terminals.
7. Remove batteries from the unit if it will be not used for
long period of time.
8. Exhausted batteries should be removed from the
battery compartment to prevent over-discharge, which
can cause leakage and may cause damage to the
clock.
Battery installation
- Insert 1 X AA (1.5V) battery observing the correct
polarity, as shown on the diagram. Replace battery cover.
Reflex control

Congratulations on your purchase of the Braun BNC005 reflex control alarm
clock, designed by Braun to make mornings easier. After the third burst of the
alarm tone, the snooze function can be activated by a simple movement of a
hand in the vicinity of the clock face (maximum operating distance 40 cm/16 in).
The movement of the hand in front of the clock should be diagonal and slightly
above the green infrared sensor. At the same time the clock face will illuminate
automatically. The alarm sound will start again 4 minutes later, and this
process will repeat for up to 40 minutes. The alarm function can only be totally
