6. Calibration

The device is pre-calibrated and should be re-calibrated only by qualified techni

-

cians. A calibration screw is provided at the rear of the device for this purpose. 

Caution! Calibrate the device only if you have the necessary technical 

expertise and equipment!

7. Operation and commissioning

Take the appliance out of the packaging and remove all the packaging material. 

Open the battery compartment at the back of the device and insert three 1.5 v 

AAA batteries. Then close the battery compartment cover. Press and hold the 

"ON/OFF" button for 3 seconds to switch on the device.

Measuring the sound level: 

Press the ON/OFF button "

" after switching on the device to start the meas

-

urement. The current sound level reading is shown in the display after about one 

second. The reading changes if the noise level fluctuates.

Minimum and maximum function: 

Press the "MIN/MAX" button. "MIN" or "MAX" is shown in the display. If you now 

take the next reading, either the minimum or the maximum reading from the 

current measurement is shown, depending on which mode (MIN or MAX) the 

device is in. The current data is retained until the corresponding value is exceeded 

or falls below. Press the "MIN/MAX" button to change or end the function.

Hold function:

Press the "Hold" button to retain the current reading. The HOLD function is active 

as long as "HOLD" is shown in the display. Press the button again to switch off the 

function.

LCD backlight:

Briefly press the ON/OFF button"

". The backlight of the display is then 

switched on. Press the button again to switch off the light.

Switch off:

The meter automatically switches off if it is not used for 10 minutes. Alternatively, 

you can press the ON/OFF button "

" for 2 seconds to switch off. Press the ON/

OFF button "

" for 3 seconds to switch on.
