Inspections
6.1.1
Overview
Interval
A detailed inspection should be performed by Brainlab support once a year.
Buzz
should be maintained and inspected on a regular basis to ensure functionality and safety.
Follow the instructions given in this document carefully for safe performance of routine
maintenance.
Warning
Do not service or maintain the Buzz or any of its components while using it.
Authorization
Only Brainlab and/or authorized partners are allowed to repair the system and equipment.
Risk of electrical shock: There are no user-serviceable parts. Do not remove any covers. All
installation, servicing and maintenance is to be carried out by Brainlab or trained authorized
technicians.
Battery Life
The computer CMOS battery must be replaced every three years. This must be performed by
Brainlab or Brainlab-authorized service personnel.
Empty batteries must be properly disposed of or recycled according to your organization’s rules
and local legislation. For battery disposal and replacement, arrange an appointment with Brainlab
support.
