Transmit Buffer - These settings allow the
selection of a transmitter FIFO trigger setting.
Selecting a low value will send fewer data-bytes per
interrupt, this is recommended if you are
communicating to an older external serial device.
Setting a high value will give better overall system
performance when the host PC has multiple
applications running simultaneously.
Be warned, many older devices or even modern
PC’s without PHOTON ports cannot deal with
long bursts of data, especially at high Baud
rates.
2. Defaults - When clicked this button resets the advanced
properties to the followed settings:
Use FIFO Buffers:On (checked)
Transmit Buffers:
1%
Receive Buffers:
80%
