Configuring Ports In Microsoft Windows NT 4.0
Microsoft Windows NT Provides built in support for 255
standard serial ports. To setup your PCI 3 Port Serial card you
should follow these steps. Please note that to change any kind of
hardware configuration under Windows NT you must be logged in
as a user with Administrator level privileges, if you do not have
these please contact your system administrator.
Software Installation.
Insert the PCI 3port RS232 into your PC, as described in
chapter 2, and restart. Place the supplied floppy disk titled "Serial
Solutions for Windows NT" in a suitable drive and from the Start
Menu choose Run and enter
a:\setup
(where a: is the path to
the floppy drive with the installation disk).

InstallShield will then install the driver software automatically -
it will then copy the necessary files and start itself. This
automatically detects your new PCI serial card(s) and does not
require any further system restarting.
