Ink Tool
input device as a Natural User Interface to
allow use of tools based on whether the user
is using the Passive Digital Pen, Pen’s Eraser,
Touch or Palm. The default user experience
is that:
•
Pen = pen - draw - red ink,
•
Pen Eraser = erase small area
•
Touch = gestures and
•
Palm = erase large area.
The Ink Tool on the toolbar is used to
change the behaviour of Touch to the
selected tool and changes the colour of ink
for the Passive Digital Pen.

Erase Tool
Ink can be erased using the Passive Digital
Pen’s Eraser, Palm gesture or by changing
the action of touch input via the toolbar.
Annotations are cut through the erase area
into two movable objects. To erase text,
shapes and images first select the object
using the Select Tool and then either press
the Erase Tool or use an erase gesture. The
whole page can be cleared by holding down
the erase icon to select the trashcan icon.

Gesture Tool
Gesture Tool is the default touch input and
allows the following:
•
Select the canvas with a finger to
move.
•
Pinch canvas to zoom in, out and pan
left/right/up/down. The zoom level is
shown as a percentage.
•
Selecting the zoom icon again shows
a “view finder” to see the whole
canvas relative to the current view.

Lasso Tool
Touch an object and it becomes selected.
Dragging over multiple objects allows them
to be moved, scaled or deleted as a group.
An object or objects that has been selected
can be deleted by pressing the Erase Tool,
using the erase gesture or pen eraser
anywhere on the canvas. Selected objects
can moved by dragging, scaled using a pinch
gesture or by dragging a corner handle.
