Povrch kabinetu vyžaduje obvykle pouze občasné setření prachu.
Používáte-li čisticí prostředek ve spreji, nastříkejte jej napřed na
utěrku, ne přímo na ozvučnici a vyzkoušejte jej napřed na malé
ploše, zda nepoškozuje povrch. Vyvarujte se čistidel obsahujících
abraziva, kyseliny, chemikálie či antibakteriální složky. Případné
usazené nečistoty mohou být z ozvučnice odstraněny pomocí
slabého mýdlového roztoku (bez parfémovacích složek), ve
kterém navlhčíte utěrku. Čisticí prostředky nikdy nepoužívejte
na membrány reproduktorů. Tyto membrány mohou být snadno
poškozeny, proto se jich raději vůbec nedotýkejte.
Reprosoustavy Bowers & Wilkins potažené pravou dřevěnou
dýhou jsou opatřeny UV rezistentním lakem, což minimalizuje
změny jejího zabarvení vlivem světla. Nicméně jako každý přírodní
materiál, podléhá i tato dýha vlivu okolního prostředí. Případné
rozdíly v zabarvení jednotlivých ploch mohou být srovnány
vystavením celého povrchu rovnoměrnému působení slunečního
světla tak dlouho, dokud rozdíl nezmizí. Tento proces může trvat
několik dnů či týdnů, lze jej však urychlit opatrným použitím UV
lampy. Výrobky opatřené dřevěnou dýhou by se také neměly
nacházet v bezprostřední blízkosti zdrojů tepla, jako jsou např.
radiátory či horkovzdušné ventilátory, zabráníte tak možnému
popraskání dýhy.
Zvuk reprosoustav se během určité doby používání mírně mění.
Zvláště pokud byly reprosoustavy skladovány v chladném
prostředí, nabývají tlumící závěsy a některé materiály
v reproduktorech své správné mechanické vlastnosti teprve
během provozu. Během prvních hodin provozu se jednotlivé
části reproduktoru navzájem ideálně přizpůsobují. Délka tohoto
procesu, během kterého reprosoustava postupně zvukově
„vyzrává“ je velmi závislá na způsobu předchozího skladování a
způsobu používání. Bývá pravidlem, že po zhruba týdnu teplotní
stabilizace a asi 15 hodinách běžného provozu dosáhnou použité
mechanické díly svých optimálních charakteristik.
