SAFETY NOTES

DO

1.)

Only fit Bowens approved equipment to the 
Travelpak.

2.)

Allow at least one hour for the Travelpak to 
stabilise at room temperature, especially when
moving the unit from extreme temperature and
humidity.

3.)

Avoid placing cables where they can be 
tripped over. Protect from heavy, sharp or hot 
objects which may cause damage and replace
damaged cables immediately

4.)

Due to the high voltage / high energy used in 
Travelpak units, all servicing must be carried 
out by an authorised service centre.

5.)

If the unit is dropped or damaged in any way, 
always have it checked out before using again.

Charge a Travelpak battery in a gas tight 
container.

Use a unit with damaged housing or 
mouldings.

the Batterypak. This should only be carried out
by an authorised Bowens service centre.

CONNECTING AND USING THE TRAVELPAK WITH A GEMINI

SAME TIME

For  battery  operation  the  power  switch  on  the
Gemini should be in the lower position. The centre
position is ‘off’. 

POWER CONNECTING INSTRUCTIONS

:

1.)

Ensure the Travelpak is switched ‘off’.

2.)

Connect the Travelpak to the Gemini using the
appropriate cabling.

3.)

Ensure the power lead connectors are fully 
tightened.

4.)

Switch the Travelpak ‘on’, then turn ‘on’ the 
Gemini.

5.)

The Gemini will charge and indicate it is ready
by illuminating the green LED on the side of 
the unit.

6.)

Press the ‘Flash Test’ button on the side of 
the unit to check the unit fires.
