how to pack your yurt tent
It is vital that your tent is stored when it is dry, and not at all damp, otherwise it may suffer from mildew. It is ok to take it
down whilst the tent is damp, however, you must ensure to hang it up to dry within 48 hours. This can be done by being
hung on a washing line, or over something, to air dry.
Take the poles and pegs out of the tent whilst keeping the canvas off the grass. Without standing on the canvas, fold the
tent over so you have a half moon with the groundsheet facing up.
The idea is that you always have canvas touching canvas and groundsheet touching groundsheet. Once any condensation
has dried off turn the half moon over so the other half of the groundsheet can also dry out. We find it’s a good idea to move
the tent off its original spot to avoid putting any condensation back onto the first half.
Fold the sides into the centre and then over on itself so you end up with a strip the width of the tent bag. Fold the strip in
half and place the pole and peg bags at one end. Roll into a tight bundle using the ties to secure the tent as a roll. Lift one
end and slip the bag over the tent.
