IRONING TEMPERATURE GUIDE
1.
If ironing instruc ons are missing but you know the kind of fabric, select
••
Moderate Temperature : for semi synthe c materials - Silk / Wool
Check for label with ironing instruc ons. Follow below instruc ons in all cases
•
Low Temperature : for synthe c materials - Nylon / Rayon
••• Hot Temperature : for Linen / Co on
2.
These instruc ons are valid for the fiber materials only; If some kind of finish has been applied
(gloss, wrinkle, relief etc.) the tex le can best be ironed at a lower temperature.
3.
The iron heats up quicker than it cools down. Start ironing the ar cles requiring lowest
temperature and then progress to the higher temperature.
4.
Not sure about the fabric, find a spot, which will be invisible when wearing or using the ar cle
to try out the ironing temperature. Always start with low temperature and increase to one
which gives the required results)
5.
Velvet and other textures, which rapidly acquire shiny spots, should be ironed in one direc on
only. Always apply light pressure and keep moving.
6.
Iron the reverse side of synthe c materials and silk to prevent shining spots. To prevent staining
do not use the spray on silk or other delicate fabrics.
