Unloading the Spreader
1. Position the spreader in the area where you
want to deposit the material.
2. Unload the spreader using either of the methods
below:
•
Turn on the spreader controller and run the
spreader until the hopper is empty.
CAUTION
The spreader throws material at a high
speed that could cause minor injuries
to bystanders.
Bystanders should stay a minimum
of 7.6 m (25 ft) away from operating
spreaders.
•
Unplug the spread from the vehicle wire
harness, and shovel out the material.
Adjusting the Drop Gate
1. Remove the 2 front bolts ( Figure 10 ).

2. Loosen the 2 rear bolts and rotate the drop gate
(
Figure 10 ).
3. Install the 2 previously removed front bolts, and
tighten the 2 rear bolts.
You can adjust the spread pattern by rotating the drop
gate as shown in
Figure 11 .

Adjusting the Material
Deflectors
You can adjust the material deflectors by inserting
the deflector pins into the staggered holes near the
spinner (
Figure 12 ).
