The current consumption of the sensor must
not exceed 400 mA!
NOTICE
Note that the power consumption of all connected sensors must not exceed
400 mA. The power can be freely distributed among the existing connections.
To connect the sensors to the digital inputs (X1 – X8), proceed as follows:
1. Disconnect the power supply from those devices on which the field bus
coupler has been mounted.
2. Insert the plug of the sensor cable into the socket of a digital input (4) of
the field bus coupler, and tighten it using the knurled-head screw.
3. Screw a protective cap on all unused connections to comply with the de‐
gree of protection IP 67.

USB Cable Connection
The field bus coupler's USB port is used by Bosch Rexroth Service for gener‐
al service functions.
Communication interference due to incorrect data transfer
Using the USB port can cause disruption to data communication
caused by faulty USB data transfer or failure. This can be due to
the use of additional or inappropriate USB distributors (hubs) or
USB cables that are too long (max. 5.47 yd) or unsuitable. We
would therefore recommend against the use of devices such as
these.
Connect an M8 plug with IP 67 degree of protection when using a USB cable
that is not ready-made. The following table outlines the assignment of the
USB connection:
