material of the object to be monitored. Based on
practical experience, an effective radius of r = 5 m
applies to steel and iron-reinforced concrete.

• Install one detector for each plane (walls, floor, and
ceiling) of the protected area.
• Do not add the coverage from adjoining planes to the
comprehensive protection strategy.
