Mounting options
The following table is an overview of mounting information and options.
Mount the motion detector using the motion detector base.
You can mount the motion detector on a flat wall or in a corner. Refer to
Mount directly to the surface, page 11.
You can mount the motion detector using a bracket. Refer to Mount on a
bracket, page 12.
The motion detector's coverage pattern is designed for optimal
performance when mounted vertically. The motion detector base includes
a removable bubble level which helps you align the unit. Before drilling
the mounting holes in the surface, use the bubble level to align the
motion detector. Refer to Bubble level, page 14.
Mount directly to the surface
When surface mounting, select the mounting holes shown in the following figure. Drill the
holes or tap them out with a screwdriver.
To use the wall tamper feature, be sure to use one of the mounting holes shown in red in the
following figure.
