Special Tests
Overview
Depending on the vehicle and controller selected, spe-
cial tests are available.
The special test function is a key component of the tool
because it allows circuit testing without ever touching a
circuit with a DVOM or other electrical testing equip-
ment. This will also protect electrical circuits from being
contaminated or damaged from manual testing with
electrical troubleshooting equipment. It is also a quick
and easy way to test vehicle controller operation which
is difficult to test using traditional methods.

6. To terminate a test at any time, use the emergency
stop button. To exit special tests normally, select the
exit or abort button.
Note: Exit or abort will both stop the current special test and take
you back to the start of Special Tests.
All features outside the special test are locked out until
the test is terminated to protect the vehicle and the
