CD and MP3 mode
When you create a disc with compressed
music files, you can assign names to the
tracks and folders.
The radio/navigation system uses these
names for the corresponding display.
Note:
Folders containing files other than
MP3 or WMA tracks are not dis-
played.
If MP3 or WMA files are stored in the root
directory itself, the root directory will also be
treated as a folder. The device then shows the
directory name "Root" as the folder name.
You must observe the following when assigning
file names:
f
File names must be at least one character
long.
f
Umlauts cannot be used when naming
files.
f
File names must have the extension ".
mp3" or ".wma".
The equipment supports the following types of
MP3 file:
f
Constant and variable bit rates from 32
kbit/s to 320 kbit/s
f
Sampling rates of 8 kHz to 48 kHz
The equipment supports the following types of
WMA file:
f
Constant bit rates from 8 kbit/s to 384
kbit/s
f
Sampling rates of 8 kHz to 48 kHz
Note:
Only use tracks with a bit rate of at
least 128 kbit/s and a sampling rate
of at least 44.1 kHz. Lower rates can
cause a noticeable deterioration in
quality.
Starting/pausing/stopping playback
After inserting the CD, playback starts
automatically.
To pause video playback,

from the beginning if you stop playback,
