Main Adjustments
Attaching the sanding paper - Picture 1 (models equipped with a sanding paper clamping system)*
Fit the sanding paper over the base. Make sure the sanding paper is even with the edges and that the dust collection holes in
the base and sanding paper is aligned and that the sanding paper is taut on the base.
Lift the sanding paper retaining clips to the open position and insert one end of the sanding paper under the retaining clip.
Push the clip back into the retaining position. Lightly stretch the paper over the base plate ensuring that it is not folded or wrin-
kled then position under the other retaining clip back into the retaining position. Check that the paper is flat to the base plate,
if not, release either clip and reposition the paper before resetting the clip. Switch on momentarily to check that the sander is
functioning correctly. If there is undue vibration, repeat the paper positioning procedure.
Warning: Always wear dust mask, eye & ear protection during sanding.
Fitting the sanding paper - Picture 2 (models equipped with an self-adhesive pad)*
Fit the self-adhesive sanding paper over the base. Make sure the sanding paper is even with the edges and that the dust collec-
tion holes in the base and sanding paper are aligned and that the sanding paper is taut on the base.
To remove the adhesive sanding paper, simply pull its edge in order to remove it from the base.
Dust collection container/dust extraction hood*
If your sander is equipped with a dust collection container. To attach it on the sander, insert the container into the back of the
sander in the correct position. Then turn the container 90° clockwise. Pull the container and make sure that it is tightened se-
curely on the sander.
To remove the container follow these steps in reverse order.
Note: Some models do not need the clockwise turn step, simply push the container on the sander.
If you sander is equipped with a dust extraction hood:
1. Turn the dust extraction hood so that the tab on top of the rectangular end faces up. Snap it in place into the rectangular
shaft at the back of the Sander.
2. Connect a 1-1/2″ dust collection hose from the dust extraction to your dust collection system (hose and system not included).
