Machine-specific Safety Warnings
- Do not vacuum and blow materials that are hazardous to one's health, e. g. , dust from beech or oak wood, masonry dust, asbestos.
- These materials are considered carcinogenic.
- Do not vacuum and blow liquids. The penetration of liquids increases the risk of an electric shock.
- Keep the power tool away from rain or moisture. The penetration Of water into the motor increases the risk Of an electric shock.
- When operating the power tool in damp environments is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD). The use of a residual current device (RCD)
reduces the risk Of an electric shock.
- Never use the machine with a damaged cable. Do not touch the damaged cable and pull the mains plug when the cable is Damaged While Working. Dam-
aged cables increase the risk Of an electric shock.
- Do not drive over, crush or stretch the cable.
- Do not pull the cable to unplug the plug from the socket outlet or to move the power tool.
- Damaged cables increase the risk of an electric shock.
- During work breaks, when not in use or when working on the power tool (e. g. changing tool inserts, repairs, cleaning, adjustments), pull the mains plug.
This safety measure prevents accidental starting of the power tool.
- Provide for good ventilation at the working place.
- Do not allow children to use the power tool without supervision. Children can injure themselves.
- Wear additional personal protective equipment, such as safety goggles and respirator.
- Wearing protective equipment for appropriate conditions reduces the exposure toward hazardous substances.
- Always wear hearing protection.
- Vibration information: identify additional safety measures to protect the operator from the effects of vibration such as: maintain the tool and the accesso-
ries, keep the hands warm and organisation of work patterns.
