
Operating the Scale
> Make sure that the scale is plugged into the proper
outlet and on a flat and leveled surface
> Slide a proper display control unit
( remote vs local display ) into the back of
scale body, making sure the display control
interface from adapter connects securely
to adapter on scale
Dual Weight Capacity
The P840 scale is a dual weight range scale
To change the weight capacity of the scale,
remove the round cover panel on the bottom of
the scale. Select desired weighing capacity by
sliding its weight selection control bar

Operation
A. Switching Weight Unit
1. The measurement unit will be changed
from one unit to another ( kg, lb, lb:oz )
by pressing MODE key
2. The unit will always default in the last unit
used for its continuity
B. Weighing (TARE)
1. Place a (tare) item on the platter
2. Press TARE key or press Foot-Tare button
. The scale displays “ 0 ”
3. Place next (tare) item on the platter
4. Press TARE key or press Foot-Tare button.
The scale displays “ 0 ”
5. Repeat step 3,4 until all tare items are
weighted
6. Place a weight item on the platter
The scale displays its weight
7. Remove all items together
The scale displays “ – x.xx ” for its
total accumulated tare weight
8. Press TARE key to clear its total weight
The scale returns to initial zero state “ 0 ”
Calibration Procedure
<< The scale uses half weight of the
total capacity to calibrate >>
1. With the scale turned ON , select the weighing
unit to be used for calibration by pressing
MODE key ( lb or kg )
2. Turn the scale OFF
3. While holding down the MODE key with
nothing on the platter, turn the scale ON
The scale displays “ cal
“
3. Press MODE key. The scale will briefly
display the weight unit to be used for
calibration ( kg or lb ), and then flash the
weight needed for calibration.
4. Place the correct weight on the center of the
platform, and then press MODE key
5. The scale will display CAL F, if the calibration
is successful and the process is finished
6. The scale displays “CAL E” if un-successful
Repeat step 1 ~ 5 again for retry
7. Turn the scale OFF, then turn ON to
return to Initial Zero state.

erroneous weighing display with proper weight
