Note:
In the basic setting, the adjustment screw (item 15) is turned in so far that it is flush
with the valve cover (item 14, fig. 17). This setting is in most cases the best.

Note:
If your engine is already equipped with the new adjustment screw (item 15) for
easier adjustment the basic setting is a distance of 5 mm / 0,2 in between the collar
of the adjustment screw and the valve cover.

Warning:
The exhaust valve adjustment must never be done during operation on the track .

Note:
If the exhaust valve should open before 7500 r.p.m. the opening time of the exhaust
valve can be shifted to a slightly higher engine speed by turning the adjustment
screw (item 15) further in.

Note:
If the exhaust valve does not open until the engine speed of 7500 r.p.m. has been
reached, the opening time can be adjusted to a slightly lower speed by turning
adjustment screw (item 15) outwards.
