Energy saving mode
The device is put into energy saving mode.
The inside temperatures are automatically adjusted
to 8°C in the fridge and to -15°C in the free-
zer and kept constant.
Super cooling
/
Super freezing
When the super cooling or freezing function is acti-
vated, the device operates at maximum power to
speed up the cooling or freezing process.
The super cooling function switches off automatically
after about 150 minutes and the super freezing func-
tion after about 50 hours. The respective internal
temperature adapts to the preset temperature.
The functions can be ended at any time before the
switch-off times have expired by the MODE button.
Door alarm function
As soon as the fridge or freezer door remains open
for more than 90 seconds, an alarm sounds in
35 second intervals until the doors are properly
closed.
If the appliance doors remain open for more than
10 minutes, the interior light in the appliance goes
out.
Starting the appliance
Connect the appliance to the power supply.
Set the operating conditions. See also the follow-
ing section "Settings".
Settings
Note that the temperature will change depending on
the ambient temperature, frequency of door opening
and the amount of food in the appliance.
During initial operation, adjust the lowest possible
temperature (= highest power level), or select the
super cooling / freezing function first, until the appli-
ance has reached the desired operating temperature.
Afterwards it is recommended to turn the control
back to a medium setting; correcting the temperature
at a later point would then be easier.
NOTE:
In generally a medium power level works best for an
optimized food storage. A high power level also in-
creases the energy consumption.
Interior light
By opening the respective appliance door, the interior
light switches on automatically.
Storing food
NOTE: Recommendation!
To guarantee that the temperature is low enough,
you should pre-cool the appliance a few times before
initial loading foods.
CAUTION:
Always pay attention to the storage instructions on
the sales packaging.
To avoid contamination of food, respect the following
instructions:
Opening the door for long periods can cause a
significant increase of the temperature in the
compartments of the appliance.
Clean regularly surfaces that can come in contact
with food and accessible drainage systems (see
“Cleaning and Maintenance”).
Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers in
the refrigerator, so that it is not in contact with or
drip onto other food.
Two-star
frozen-food compartments are suit-
able for storing pre-frozen food, storing or making
ice-cream and making ice-cubes.
One-
, two-

partments are not suitable for the freezing of fresh
food.
If the appliance is out of use for long period, fol-
low the instructions under "Switching off".
