Frequency converter

BOGE – VACON frequency converter for screw compressors

The frequency converter must always be earthed with an earth conductor
connected to the earth terminal

.

The earth-fault protection protects only the converter itself against earth
faults in the motor or the motor cable.
Due to the high capacitive currents inside the frequency converter, residual-
current circuit breakers may not function properly.

Comply with EN 50178, chapter 5.2ff (VDE 0160).

Please note the directions given in the chapter "Electrical connection" of the
operating instructions for the compressor.

Warning!

This is a product of the restricted sales distribution class according to IEC
61800-3. In a domestic environment this product may cause radio interfer-
ence in which case the user may be required to take adequate measures.
While operating the equipment interferences in the civil radio communication
may occur in the proximity of the compressor under extremely unfavorable
conditions.

In normal conditions, BOGE NX frequency converters are maintenance-free.
However,we recommend to clean the heat sink with compressed air when-
ever necessary.
Simply the ventilator has to be replaced after approx. 45.000 operating hours.
This work may only be carried out by a specialist authorised by BOGE.
