MAINTENANCE GUIDE

Safety Inspection & Maintenance for the BaseLine®

Protect the BaseLine® in order to keep it at optimal performance with regular maintenance.
Proper maintenance and timely replacement of parts is your responsibility. See the recommended
maintenance guidelines below and find a full checklist together with this document.

The safety level of the machine can be maintained only if it is inspected regularly for damage and
wear. Your safety and the safety of your clients relies on proper maintenance and the correct
usage of the BaseLine®. This manual is a reference that will help you maintain your BaseLine®
and keep it in the best possible condition. Failure to follow the guidelines in this manual may
result in a malfunction that could lead to a serious injury. We strongly advise that you read this
manual and keep a copy to refer back to. In a studio environment please ensure that the studio
manager has a copy of this manual as part of his/her induction. Please record all maintenance
checks and keep the maintenance checklist up to date. Find below our maintenance checklist for
your convenience.

Tips & Important information

Resistance activation system;

 Always leave at least 1 resistance knob activated when not in use,

always ensure the resistance is attached in a neutral position, i.e. under minimal tension. If a
resistance knob is not moving or hard to activate, then adjust the nut of that resistance knob
under the resistance activation system. The nut needs to be loosened. If a resistance knob is too
loose, i.e. activating itself during a movement of the Base, then the nut of that resistance knob
under the activation system needs to be tightened.

Springs;

 Replace all springs every 2 year or replace as needed. Monthly check for signs of wear,

deformation, kinks, gaps or corrosion. Springs showing signs of damage must not be used and
have to be replaced immediately.

Inspector;

 Ensure the person carrying out the inspection has suitable understanding of the

BaseLine® and it functions to carry out the checks. Do not modify or use unapproved parts as
this will invalidate your warranty.

User weight;

 Please note that the BaseLine® has a maximum user weight of 120Kg.

Care and Cleaning

; Wipe surfaces using warm water with mild soap for day-to-day cleaning.

Ensure soap does not leave an oily residue, or makes surfaces slippery. Clean or let all users clean
the front-base, base, back-base and all handle grips and bars with disinfectant with a paper towel
after every use. Avoid spraying liquid directly onto surfaces.
CAUTION: We do not recommend using chemical based products. Chemical-based cleansers
used around BaseLine® feet may cause permanent markings on the floor. The warranty does not
cover this damage. Thumping
