This activates the fan and gives a choice of two rotation speeds (fast and slow) and
stop.

THE FAN (5)

If this option is included, it 

must 

be switched on 

every time

 the fire is lit. The fan

should be cut off every time the door is opened and restarted as soon as you close the
door.
