Running-in check
The running-in check consists
of the following inspection and
maintenance work.
Setting the service date and
remaining distance.
Performing the brief test using
the BMW Motorrad diagnosis
system.
Engine oil change with filter.
Change oil in bevel gears.
Adjust steering-head bearing.
Check brake fluid level of front
brake.
Check brake fluid level for rear
brake.
Check Bowden cables for ease
of movement, rubbing and
kinking spots and clearance.
Check tire tread depth and in-
flation pressure.
Checking tension of spokes
and tightening as needed.
Checking the lighting and sig-
nal system.
Conduct operating test of en-
gine starting suppression.
Check synchronization.
Final inspection and checking
for road safety.
Recording the BMW Service in
the on-board literature.
Standard BMW Service
The standard BMW Service in-
cludes the following maintenance
work:
Perform brief test using
BMW Motorrad diagnosis
system.
Visual inspection of hydraulic
clutch system.
Check steering-head bearing.
Visual inspection of brake lines,
brake hoses and connections.
Checking the front/rear brake
pads and brake discs for wear.
Checking the front/rear brake
fluid level.
Check Bowden cables for ease
of movement, rubbing and
kinking spots and clearance
Checking the tire pressure and
tread depth.
Checking the side stands for
ease of movement.
Checking tension of spokes
and tightening as needed.
Checking the lighting and sig-
nal system.
Checking that the engine start-
ing suppression works.
Final inspection and checking
for road safety.
Setting the service date and
remaining distance to service.
Checking the battery state of
charge.
Recording the BMW Service in
the on-board literature.
