Adjustable handlebars
The handlebars inclination can
be adjusted in the areas of the
mark

Have the handlebars adjusted by
a specialist workshop, preferably
an authorized BMW Motorrad
retailer.
Spring preload

Setting
It is essential to set the spring
preload to suit the load carried by
the motorcycle. Increase spring
preload when the vehicle is heav-
ily loaded and reduce spring
preload accordingly when the
vehicle is lightly loaded.

Adjust the spring preload
only when the motorcycle is
stationary.
Park motorcycle, ensuring that
support surface is firm and
level.

the adjustment wheel
