Hold the vehicle jack with one hand, ar-

row 1, and grasp the jack crank handle or

lever with your other hand, arrow 2.

Insert the jack into the rectangular recess of

the jacking point closest to the wheel to be

changed.

Extend the jack by turning the jack crank

handle or lever clockwise.

Take your hand away from the jack as soon

as the jack is under load and continue turn-

ing the jack crank handle or lever with one

hand.
