Protecting the vehicle against
rolling
General
The vehicle manufacturer recommends that the
vehicle should additionally be protected against
rolling away during a wheel change.
On a level surface
Place chocks or other suitable objects in front of
and behind the wheel directly opposite to the
one being changed.
On a slight downhill slope
If it is necessary to change a wheel on a slight
downhill slope, place chocks and other suitable
objects, for example stones, under the wheels of
the front and rear axles in the opposite direction
to the direction of roll.
Thiefproof wheel studs
Principle
The wheel locking bolts have a special coding.
The blots can only be released with the adapter
that matches the coding.
Overview
The adapter of the thiefproof wheel studs can be
found in the on-board tool kit or in an oddments
tray in the on-board tool kit.
