Close case
Pull release lever 2 all the way
up.
Close case lid. Ensure that
no items are trapped between
cover and case.
NOTICE
The case can also be locked if
the lock is in the LOCK position.
Under such circumstances, en-
sure that the ignition key is not in
the case.
Push release lever 2 down,
continuing until it engages.
Turn key in case lock into
LOCK position and remove.
Maximum payload
Observe maximum payload ac-
cording to sign in the case.
If you cannot find your
combination of motorcycle and
case on the label, contact your
BMW Motorrad Retailer.

Install navigation device

with navigation preparation

Switch on the ignition.
Press button 1 to open the slot
for the navigation device.
Slot cover pops open, wind-
shield moves to top limit posi-
tion.
Pull slot cover up as far as it
will go.
Push out cover cap
