Have the fault rectified as
quickly as possible by a
specialist workshop, preferably
an authorised BMW Motorrad
dealer.
DTC intervention
DTC indicator light flashes
quickly.
The DTC has detected a degree
of instability at the rear wheel
and has intervened to reduce
torque. The warning light flashes
for longer than DTC intervention
lasts. This affords the rider visual
feedback on control intervention
even after the critical situation
has been dealt with.
DTC self-diagnosis not
completed
DTC indicator light flashes
slowly.
Possible cause:
Self-diagnosis did not complete,
so the DTC function is not avail-
able. The engine must be run-
ning and the motorcycle must
reach a minimum speed of 5 km/
h to complete Dynamic Traction
Control self-diagnosis.
Pull away slowly. Note that the
Dynamic Traction Control func-
tion is unavailable until self-
diagnosis of the DTC function
has been completed.
DTC switched off
DTC indicator light lights
up.
Possible cause:
The rider has switched off the
DTC system.
Switch on DTC.
DTC fault
DTC indicator light lights
up.
Possible cause:
The DTC control unit has detec-
ted a fault. The DTC function is
not available.
