PRECAUTIONS
4.1.1
WARNINGS
This chair has been designed for and adapted to medical practices and procedures, and
hence a specific use. Abnormal use of the latter can lead to user or patient accidents, or
even to irreversible damage.
The following list of abnormal chair uses is not exhaustive and BMB MEDICAL counts on the
common sens of the chair’s users.

The product must be connected to a mains power outlet compliant with standards in
force.

Once the brakes have been engaged, patient sitting and standing should be
performed, with the seat in the low position:
o
From the side, after raising the armrests (placing the chair in patient installation
position)
o
or from the front, if comfort armrests are used (placing the chair in patient
installation position) with the help of a caregiver.

When getting up, the patient must not rest on the articulated anatomically shaped
armrests.

The patient must not place his/her feet on the footrest.
-
The patient must not sit on the legrest or backrest.
-
In the case of an unsupervised patient, the seat should be left in its lowest position to
reduce the risk of falling.

In the case of an unassisted patient, the caregivers must inform the patient of the safety
measures that must be implemented when using the product.

Tell the patient not to sit on the ends (foot or head) of the chair. An excess weight
applied to one of the ends could tip the patient surface and injure the patient.

Tell the patient and any accompanying persons not to sit on the armrests.

Before moving the product:
o
Ensure that the power cord has been disconnected and placed on the product
cover.
o
Ensure that the brakes are released. It may be hazardous for the user and
patient when attempting to move the product with the brakes engaged.
o
Ensure that the patient’s limbs do not extend beyond the armrests and legrest.
o
The product must be placed in the lowered and
comfort position.

The chair’s mechanisms could cause lesions; ensure that no-one is touching the
mechanical elements before activating the chair.
