WARNING : Technical safety
This appliance contains a small amount of propane refrigerant (R290), a natural gas that is environment-
friendly. Though it is flammable, it does not damage the ozone layer and does not increase the greenhouse
effect. When transporting and installing the appliance, care should be taken to ensure that no parts of
the refrigerating circuits are damaged. Refrigerant squirting out of the pipes could ignite or cause an eye
injury. In the event of eye contact with the refrigerant, wash your eyes instantly with plenty of running
water and call/consult an eye specialist immediately. If a leak is detected,
a) avoid any flames or anything which creates a spark,
b) switch off at the mains and unplug the appliance,
c) ventilate the room where the appliance is located for several minutes, and
d) call Blue Star Ltd.
The room must be 1 cubic metre in size for every 8g of R290 refrigerant inside the appliance. The amount
of refrigerant in your particular appliance is shown on the identification plate. The refrigerant charge
quantities are as per international standards. Never start up an appliance showing any sign of damage. If
in doubt, consult your dealer. The amount of refrigerant used in the appliance depends upon the size of
the room where it will be installed. This can prevent creation of flammable gas and air mixture if a leak
in refrigerating circuit occurs.
